Dugard Develops Versatile Turning Centre
The new Dugard Lunan 630MF Semi CNC lathe is now available from the South Coast machine tool vendor. The Lunan is a progression from previous lathe generations that have been available from Dugard for over 15 years.
The new 630MF can be used as a manual or full CNC machine. When used in CNC mode the machine has a fully programmable turret, which is disabled for manual operation. Available with a four-post tool station for the everyday subcontractor, the machine also offers a 6-position turret that is more tailored toward the use of companies in high batch or production machining environments.
The Lunan 630MF is offered with a GSK control as well as FANUC and Siemens variant. The GSK CNC control is a Chinese CNC system that has been in production for over 10 years. This control manufacturer claims to be the world's third largest manufacturer, shipping over 100,000 units every year. This conventional G-Code type control is available at a cost parameter less than the more familiar brands.
The 630MF is a reasonably large machine with a D1-11 spindle nose, a wide bed for enhanced rigidity and a three range gearbox for exceptional torque and power throughout the speed range. With 2m between centres and 630mm swing, the MF is also available with a 1 or 3m distance between centres. Dugard can also offer the MF series with a larger 800mm swing. The machine is extremely spacious and has great access to the work envelope.
In addition, the machine has a 102mm bore capacity and a 16 inch chuck and it is available from stock from Dugard. For further details, give Dugard a call.
