Anotronic demo's bring in business from Matsuura event

Added to MTDCNC by Anotronic Ltd on 21 October 2014

The good fortune for exhibitors at the Matsuura & Tornos co-hosted THINK: Productivity 2014 event in Coalville last week has clearly proven to be contagious. Since the event, MTDCNC has received some outstanding feedback from Matsuura, Tornos, Thame Workholding, Microloc, Fastems and now Anotronic.

As official media partner for the event, MTD has given the exhibitors a couple of days to digest all the information and potential leads obtained from the event - and we have now contacted a few of the technology partners for feedback as the results trickle in. This week, we spoke with Anotronic's Managing Director, Mr Martin White who said: 'The event proved to be a great success for Anotronic. Not only did we receive a remarkably high enquiry level, the quality of enquiry leaves us confident that we will sell more than 6 of our EDM drilling and EDM die sinking machines.'

'Whereas some 'technology partners' turn up to events and hope to win business, we actively promoted our presence and invited our customers to the show. This worked remarkably well as one of our customers was also a Matsuura customer. They travelled a considerable distance to see the latest offerings from both of us. It demonstrates the high level of synergy that is created at such events and it also makes the journey more worthwhile for the end user,' continues Mr White.

The EDM specialist found that visitors to the Matsuura/Tornos event were hungry for solutions with many calling in advance to confirm machine trials for their parts. As Mr White continues: 'One potential customer that became aware of our attendance and capabilities via pre-show fliers, emails and MTD videos, called to ask if we could do a trial at the event. The company had conducted numerous trials with EDM specialists on a particularly troublesome round component. We confirmed we had the available solution for the trial and completed the part in under 15 seconds.

The previous solution providers were processing the part in over 10 minutes. For an Open House visitor to solve a problem of this magnitude with such outstanding results is a glowing endorsement for the Anotronic range of products and its application engineers. Furthermore, its a great advertisement for how collaborative working with machine tool vendors through the medium of Open House events can benefit the visitor far beyond their expectations.'
