Major MACH success as ETG hits targets

Added to MTDCNC by Engineering Technology Group on 22 April 2014

As MACH 2014 closed for business after a highly successful five days of trading, demonstrating and communicating, The Engineering Technology Group reported record sales and customer interest following the manufacturing showpiece.

'It has been a memorable twelve months for ETG and we wanted to make our mark at the event,' enthuses Group Sales Director Martin Doyle.  'Analysis of the calibre of visitors to ETG’s stand, orders placed and levels of solid customer enquiries indicate we have achieved our objectives,' he adds.

Having booked over a dozen machine sales up until Thursday evening the traditionally quieter Friday saw the ETG sales team sign off with a flourish recording a number of significant orders on the last afternoon.  The highlight however was a customer purchasing a Feeler VMC with minutes to spare before the show closed and in doing so taking ETG’s MACH order book past the £1M mark.

Machine sales covered the spectrum of high end VMC’s to five axis machining centres, auto pallet VMC’s and Hyfore workholding systems with significant levels of interest recorded for the FactoryWiz machine monitoring concept and the ShopHardinge on-line store.

Live demonstrations created high levels of interest in all of the ETG brands - Hardinge/Bridgeport, Feeler, Quaser, Nakamura, Handtmann and Chiron.

'There was a great buzz about the show and the very encouraging levels of interest that customers showed for our sales team to be following up indicate that significant further orders will be directly attributable to ETG having such a significant presence at MACH,' Martin Doyle concludes.

ETG was also successful in winning the MWP award for the ‘Best Turning Centre’ with the Nakamura NTJ100 twin turret / twin spindle turning centre, a machine aimed at manufacturers of multi-feature small components.  The machine combines two high performance spindles and has many innovative features.
