Mazak makes strong start to 2013
Yamazaki Mazak has hit the ground running in 2013 with two successful exhibits at Autosport Engineering and Southern Manufacturing 2013.
Mazak, one of the world’s largest producers of metal cutting machine tools, picked up the ‘Best Stand’ award for the second year in a row at Autosport Engineering, held from the 10th-13th January at the NEC, Birmingham.
Its 2013 stand featured an INTEGREX i-400S in live cutting action. 275 companies exhibited at the four day event, which was attended by 28,000 visitors.
Mazak also exhibited at Southern Manufacturing 2013, held at FIVE, Farnborough, on 13th-14th February. The exhibition saw over 700 companies take part, with 7,847 visitors attending over the two days. Mazak’s stand also featured the INTEGREX i-400S cutting an interesting front wheel upright, emphasising Mazak’s DONE IN ONE machining philosophy.
Following on from Southern Manufacturing, Mazak has already received a number of sales enquiries.
Richard Smith, Managing Director UK & Ireland Sales Division at Yamazaki Mazak, commented: 'We are all very proud to have picked up the ‘Best Stand’ award at Autosport Engineering for the second year running. Mazak has always invested a great deal of effort into exhibiting its products at key industry exhibitions and both Autosport Engineering and Southern Manufacturing are fantastic events.'
Mazak’s INTEGREX i-400S is a full 5-axis multi-tasking machine which offers a large machining area and guarantees high machining accuracy thanks to its high-rigidity construction; linear roller guides and heat counter measures on the main and milling spindle; active vibration control and an intelligent thermal shield which automatically compensates for room temperature changes.
Richard continues: 'Mazak prides itself on its reputation for high-quality, efficient and reliable machine tools. We are keen to emphasise the range of benefits associated with Mazak to both existing and potential customers. Last year was a fantastic year for the company and 2013 has continued in the same vein. We have an exciting exhibition schedule in place for 2013 where we will continue to showcase a range of our products.'
Yamazaki Mazak has a long history of supplying machines to the autosport sector, most notably its long standing relationship with Vodafone McLaren Mercedes as the Formula One team’s Official Supplier of CNC machine tools.
