Mazak schedules VARIAXIS and VTC 800 maintenance training courses
Yamazaki Mazak has scheduled training courses for two of its key UK-built machines until the end of the year, in order to meet customer demand.
The courses, which are being made available for the company’s VARIAXIS and VTC 800 series machines, will take place at Mazak’s dedicated Training Academy at the European Head Office in Worcester.
Specifically, the courses will cover VARIAXIS with Matrix control; VARIAXIS i-series with Matrix 2 and VARIAXIS i-series with SmoothX. The VTC 800 series course involves training for Matrix 2 control.
The three-day training courses will cover a wide range of maintenance issues that can be diagnosed using the CNC, including alignments, fault-finding using the PLC and system diagnostics - all of which can form part of a planned or preventive maintenance strategy. All of the courses will offer hands-on training and extensive use of simulators.
Each course is designed to give maintenance personnel a deeper understanding of Mazak machines and the ability to determine the procedures that can be performed in-house and what needs to be outsourced to the Mazak service teams.
Barnaby Hornshaw, Technical Support Engineer at Yamazaki Mazak, commented: “These courses are highly popular because they are designed to take maintenance engineers to the next level in terms of their understanding of Mazak machines. Any Mazak user that is serious about getting the most from their machines needs to ensure that their maintenance teams are fully up-to-speed and truly understand how these machines work.”
