Mills introduces next edition of ‘Mills Insight’

Added to MTDCNC by Mills CNC Ltd on 03 April 2014

Mills CNC, the exclusive distributor of Doosan machine tools in the UK and Ireland, has just published its latest edition of Insight – its popular and widely-circulated customer-focused magazine.

Designed to keep customers, prospects and the manufacturing sector at large up to speed with the latest news and developments from what many industry experts agree to be ‘the fastest-growing UK machine tool company’, the new edition focuses exclusively on the creation of the Mills CNC Technology Campus, and the benefits to customers from such a major investment.

Back in June 2013 the Technology Campus project – an ambitious £750k capital investment programme designed to double Mills CNC’s available floor-space from 25,000sq feet to 50,000sq feet and help the company further improve its customer support services, began.

One of the key objectives behind the expansion plans was to increase the number of Doosan machines held in stock at the new Operations Centre (to over 60) enabling the company to improve machine tool delivery and installation times for customers – and meet the growing demand amongst precision manufacturers across the UK and Ireland for new Doosan machines.

The increased space was also intended to help Mills develop and grow other key areas of its business. These included the creation of dedicated Turnkey Development Centre; making major upgrades to its Parts and Customer Support Service operations, and expanding the CNC Training Academy.

Says Nick Frampton, Mills CNC’s managing director:

'This edition of ‘Mills Insight’ is a Campus-special. It keeps customers and prospects up-to-date with the latest developments and explains the rationale behind our expansion plans.

'Although there is still more work to do the Campus investment has already had a positive impact on our performance with sales for the first quarter (2014) being the best in the company’s history.'
