Victor CNC serious production machine tools on show at EMO
Having worked closely with Victor CNC over recent years MTDCNC knows all about the level of technology and performance this machine tool supplier is now delivering.
If you had heard of Victor but never explored their offerings, EMO was the ideal time to delve into a port-folio that seems to just grow and grow.
With a dazzling display in hall 27, Victor CNC were showing off several of their new machine tools now available from all their global outlets.
The Q200 turning centre, HS 630 HMC and the AX 350 5 axis machine were amongst the attractions along with a roboting loading P16 CNC lathe.
We started at the Q 200. Recently lauched this machine can be specified with either 2 or 3 turrets and has 2 poweful opposed spindles. Ideally suited to an 8 or 10 inch chuck, this turning centre was on show with a perspex door enabling passers by to witness a machine offering serious production capabilities. Whether you opted for 2 or 3 turrets they all offer a Y axis, completing what can only be described as 'next generation' machining.
The HS 630 horizontal machining centre went on to provide more evidence that Victor CNC really are an outfit catering for engineers with both small and large machining needs. This new Horizontal sits on a solid footprint and brigdes the gap between performance and power.
The new 5 axis AX 350 on show was a cut above other 5 axis machines at the exhibition, its ergonomic design made visibility superb within the machine, equally the footprint was compact and the working envelope exceeded that of most other machines within its arena.
Finally on our Victor CNC tour was the P16 CNC lathe. A new model, small, versatile and solid were the words used by my colleague. A compact 6 or 8 inch chuck machine offering reliable 2 or 3 axis turning. This machine was in operation integrated with a robot loading facility, demonstrating that Victor don't just sell machine tools, they sell production solutions.
