Following the recent launch of the VMAX CNC lathes, Victor CNC are excited to announce the extension of the VMAX machine range beyond turning to milling machines as well.

Over the last 18 months VMAX CNC lathes have proved a popular choice amongst manufacturers with larger, demanding turning applications. The introduction of VMAX milling machines begins to complete the VMAX offering as a total premium machining solution.

New milling models available include the BMV1800, BMV2200 and the BMV2500. All three machines are built using an extremely stable cast base construction weighing up to 26,500kgs with box guideways being the chosen method of axes support. Both these elements provide the utmost rigidity and stability for machining heavy work pieces.
The BMV2200 and the BMV2500 offer extreme spindle torque thanks to a gear box with high and low speed change, another feature that lends itself directly to heavy duty machining. All machines have BT50 spindle tapers capable of operating up to speeds of 4500 rpm.

The VMAX milling machine range is primarily a machine tool that will cater for components weighing up to 3500kgs requiring serious metal removable within a stable working envelope.

In terms of capacity the BMV1800 offers 1800mm X, 850mm Y, 700mm Z axis travel increasing to 2200mm X, 1100mm Y and 900mm Z on the larger BMV2200 and 2500 machines.
In order to optimise production and minimise downtime, all BMV models have two screw chip swarf systems, one either side of the machine. These combined with a powerful flushing device ensures the machine is clean at all times.

As with all machines available from Victor CNC, the VMAX BMV models can be specified at point of order with various differing options; such as higher spindle speeds (up to 8000 rpm), a Mitsubishi, Siemens, or Fagor Control as opposed to the standard FANUC system may be specified, 4th and 5th axis rotary tables, through spindle coolant, a coolant wash gun and for automation purposes probing, are all offered.
