Hexagon Metrology show new generation of CMM at Advanced Manufacturing

Hexagon Metrology show new generation of CMM at Advanced Manufacturing

Added to MTDCNC by Hexagon MI on 02 May 2015
Hexagon Metrology will be demonstrating its new generation 7.10.7 SF coordinate measuring machine at the Advanced Manufacturing show at Birmingham’s NEC from June 2-4.

The leading metrology solutions provider will be promoting the versatile machine’s new range of features, which include an integrated, flexible part fixture system.

Visitors to Hexagon Metrology’s A26 stand can see first-hand how operators can now locate up to four 300 x 300mm fixtures plates or one 500mm fixture plate on the table. Plates are rapidly loaded and unloaded thanks to a unique kinematic loading system, making it easy to change over individual parts or part types.

Integrated LED workspace lighting, which solves the common problem that a poorly lit measurement volume hampers productivity, has also been added as well as an integrated message lighting display so users can view the status of the inspection operation from a distance.

Hexagon Metrology will also be highlighting the high-speed dynamics and 6DoF capabilities of its Leica Absolute Tracker AT960 as part of a robotic demonstration cell. This new, portable laser tracker measures to a Leica Probe, T-Scan or reflector straight out of the box.

A selection of ROMER portable measuring arms, which feature a new wrist design and a new Compact version, will complete the product line-up on show at the engineering technology event. www.hexagonmetrology.co.uk
