Increasing demands on precision and finish require tighter tolerances and superior precision of the tools as well. Schwanog have taken this on as a positive challenge and optimized the WEP system.

The result:

Until now, only polygon cutters with larger fly circle diameters were adjustable but due to the new WEP design, polygon cutters with fly circle diameter from 60 mm can now be provided as an adjustable version as well. The individual pocket seats in the polygon body can be adjusted in between ± 0.04 mm which fully meets the desired accuracy parameters.

• The flats are processed directly on the lathe in a single process.
• The time-consuming changeover from turning to milling is eliminated.
