Wide toolholding capability from Gewefa at forthcoming Southern Manufacturing

As the UK’s leading supplier of toolholding solutions alongside a range of productivity improving components such as driven tools, angle heads, collets and spindle monitoring equipment, Gewefa UK Ltd will be presenting its across-the-board capabilities to visitors at the 2019 Southern Manufacturing exhibition.

Spindle nose toolholding covers every popular format – collet chucks, end mill holders, hydraulic, milling chucks and heat shrink clamping – and Gewefa offers an extensive range of standard sizes in addition to special designs suited to specific industry applications.

A dedicated toolholding manufacturing plant in Germany can accommodate the design and manufacture of the bespoke formats with Gewefa’s UK based experts on hand to provide guidance and application information.

New at Southern Manufacturing will be a new concept of hydraulic chuck toolholder designed for turning applications on multi-task machines. This offers advantages in terms of ease of clamping/unclamping and the elimination of the need for gauging.

There will also be examples from the Gewefa face and taper range of toolholders and another UK debut – the M96ER hydraulic collet chuck – featuring a unique cutter securing concept reducing spindle run out and automatic tool centreing.

Gewefa’s UK partners will also feature.  Pibomulti, OTT-Jakob, EWS, Nann and Rineck will have a significant presence at the event.  Among equipment on view will be a new range of modular angle heads from Pibomulti that offer 30% cost savings alongside a wide range of format options. 

EWS will be majoring on its quick change Varia toolholding system, OTT-Jakob on its Power Check pull force gauge and accessories while Nann – whose range of standard collet chucks is still the largest in Europe – and Rineck who offer an extensive range of heat shrink clamping machines.
