Citizen Machinery Join MTDCNC

As we say farewell to 2017 and relish what 2018 has to bring our industry, MTDCNC is delighted to announce that Citizen Machinery UK will be joining the MTDCNC platform. With MACH on the horizon, 2018 promises to be an exciting year that will see a deluge of new technologies landing on the UK shores. On stand H20-570, Citizen Machinery will be demonstrating why it is one of the leading names in turning technology.

Of course, by joining the MTDCNC marketing and news portal, Citizen Machinery will be looking forward to introducing its latest innovations to UK engineers through our on-line, video and print outlets.

Who is Citizen? Well, if you’re not remotely interested in turned parts you can be excused for not being familiar with the brand. But for those that have anything to do with machining round components, Citizen is certainly a leading brand in sliding head, fixed head and auto-loaded CNC turning centres that you should be familiar with. Citizen lathes have been available in the UK since 1974 and in the 44 years since, the brand has developed a remarkable reputation for high-quality and extremely productive turning lines.

A Japanese brand of distinction, Citizen is a market leader in sliding head turning centres that are typically purchased for the machining of everything from simple to complex parts in everything from small batches to high volume production.

In 2010, Miyano Machinery became a fully owned subsidiary of Citizen. The Miyano brand has an impeccable reputation for being a technologically advanced brand of turning centre ideally suited to machining larger components beyond the remit of sliding head turning centres. The culmination of the two brands under one banner now sees Citizen Machinery UK offer one of the most comprehensive and productive product lines for small to medium sized turned and turn/milled parts.

The UK headquarters is based in Bushey in Hertfordshire with a regional office in Brierley Hill in the West Midlands. From both offices, the company provides a complete sales, service and customer support facility to its vast UK customer base. If you want to learn more about Citizen, you can either visit www.citizenmachinery.co.uk or you can wait till the New Year when our team will be visiting tons of satisfied customers to let you know what they think.
