Mitsubishi EDM Gets ‘Full Focus’ With HK Technologies at MACH

The HK Technologies team returned to the office from MACH extremely positive and upbeat with the quality and quantity of enquiries for the latest line of Mitsubishi EDM machines. In fact, the team sold one MV2400 EDM machine and fully expect a quick succession of machine orders in the next few weeks.

Commenting upon an exceptional week at MACH, HK Technologies Managing Director, Mr Steven Wilcox says: “Our lead generation was at least 40% above the last MACH event and the quality of enquiry far exceeded previous exhibitions. At previous MACH shows we have presented our full portfolio on a single stand, but at MACH 2016 we had a dedicated Mitsubishi EDM stand and this ‘sole focus’ strategy clearly paid dividends.”

With two of the very latest EDM solutions from the premium Mitsubishi brand being introduced, interest levels were very high. As an added bonus for stand visitors, HK Technologies had a prize draw with the opportunity to win one of three IPads. The winners will be announced and notified in the next few weeks.

However, the real prize went to the metrology company that purchased the MV2400 machine off-the-stand at MACH. The MV2400 Series incorporates the latest advancements in machine construction and power supply technology; features that are revolutionising EDM machining. The MV Series is creating a real stir in the marketplace with its new technology advancements and at MACH; the serious EDM buyers fully appreciated the potential benefits of the latest technology.

For example, the new Mitsubishi MV2400 that was purchased by a renowned metrology company at MACH introduces an impressive annealing length of over 350mm that makes this system capable of threading the maximum workpiece height and also providing a realistic opportunity for the customer to thread through the gap. This is an innovative new feature for end users that may need to recover broken wire. The MV2400 also features a new, non-contact cylindrical drive system and the M700 series control with a particularly large 15-inch touch-screen. This Windows based control is both intuitive and user friendly and with the 15 inch screen, it improves operation for the end user.

From an operational cost perspective, the new MV2400 introduces Mitsubishi’s new V350-V AEII Power Supply DMX-S (Digital Matrix Sensor) that shapes each spark to reduce electrode wear considerably. This feature reduces consumable costs for the customer whilst reducing the power consumption and subsequent running costs of the machine. From a productivity standpoint, the MV2400 introduces the World’s first Linear Shaft Drive System XY, which delivers smooth, highly controllable movements and unparalleled precision levels. With unbeatable speed and precision, this new technology also requires less electricity. Incorporating all this, its little wonder the Mitsubishi MV Series stole the show at MACH.
