TIM STELL JOINS SALES TEAM AT TDT TECHNOLOGY

TDT Technology, the official UK & Ireland importer, sales distributor and service agent for several leading international machine tool manufacturers, has appointed Tim Stell as Area Sales Manager. Tim arrives at TDT with 38 years of experience in the machine tool industry.

Having started his career in 1980 as a Technical Services Engineer at Butler Machine Tools, Tim became Sales Manager at the renamed Asquith Butler in 1994. He left the company in 1997 to join TW Ward CNC Machinery, first as UK Sales Manager, then Engineering Manager. After more than 13 successful years, Tim re-joined Asquith Butler in 2010 as Business Development Manager.

“The opportunity to take up a position with TDT Technology was appealing as the company represents many leading machine tool brands – Kafo, Fidia, Feeler, Pama, IMT, OMG and Proth – and is currently enjoying strong growth in the UK,” says Tim. “All of these milling, turning and grinding machines are well built, well specified and competitively priced. As a result, I feel that I have the experience and contacts to further improve the company’s market share across a host of different industries.”

Apprentice-trained, Tim has a HND in Mechanical & Production Engineering from Halifax College, and carries a NEBOSH Health & Safety General Certificate.

“I have a technical background in metal cutting and worked in applications long before entering sales,” says Tim. “With this in mind, I’m confident that I can add a lot of value for our customers.”
