MTD breaks new boundaries in 2019

Spending most of our time sourcing industry news and covering new machinery, equipment and software from engineering companies around the UK we rarely have an opportunity to share our own experiences with our audience. A lot happens behind the scenes at MTD in order to keep delivering the richest content across all of our social media pages and website.

2018 was a year of celestial growth for the company with our audience doubling in twelve months, evidently showing how appealing our content is to our viewers and also how trustworthy and honourable our brand has become in recent years. With over 500,000 visitors a month across our channels, MTD have solidified our name as the largest provider of industry information in the metal cutting sector.

With half a million monthly viewers, our content is no longer just digital either; with the very successful launch of our printed magazine this year will see six editions of our prestigious publication covering topics such as Aerospace, Automative, Medical, Automation and much more thanks to our editor Karl Creamer.

The MTD team has expanded in all areas, with two new Web Developers on board, as well as a Social Media Manager and a Copywriter, all working as a unit and helping the company propel to new levels of growth together. So,what will 2019 bring to the company? We recently launched our own podcast which has already featured some of the biggest names in manufacturing, including Jefferson Group founder, Stuart Whitehead. The podcast quickly became a pivotal part of our growth with other guests including AutoDesk, discussing manufacturing topics and with filming taking place at Open houses and events and on the road, we are not limited to recording in a studio.

Our weekly Swarf and Chips show sees us travel across Europe reviewing the latest in engineering equipment and software, while continuously acquiring news for our ever-growing YouTube subscribers, while MTD Network focuses on aligning engineers looking for work with companies looking for engineers; giving us further industry stories from both parties. The launch of MTD MFG is also taking place dedicated to manufacturing alongside the introduction of a global brand and a move into new offices over the next few weeks.

MTD founder Paul Jones said: “We are clearly elevating to new heights on a regular basis. With subscribers, views and engagement continuously growing, the results are tangible. Moving into new offices with an expanded team of enthusiastic individuals, we have already begun the year on a record high."

”While the MTD brand continues to expand and strengthen, our aim is to cover all aspects of printed and digital media, as well as promoting products, services and the latest in industry news. We look forward to introducing more innovative methods of delivering news and keeping our viewers and readers at the forefront of industry announcements."
