Unprecedented channel growth so far in 2019

The MTD brand is now entering the 2nd half of 2019, having completed the best 6 months in the company’s trading history. The MTD brand and its Group of channels are now expected to exceed a turnover of £1.5m in 2019.

This unprecedented growth is bolstered by the recognition that the MTD audience is now the largest and most engaged in the industry. Having collated the most recent data relating to all 5 of MTD’s channels, MTDCNC, MTD Network, Swarf and Chips, MTDMFG and MTD Global over the past 6 months, we are delighted to report that  we have received a colossal 3.5 million visitors to our channels. With engineers engaging in manufacturing in more ways than ever, using the MTD websites, social media channels and YouTube, the reach is destined to continue its exponential growth levels.

Managing Director of MTD, Mr Paul Jones says: “It’s been a very busy 6 months, trying to juggle the growth of the domestic demand coupled with the new global channel attracting attention around the World, not to mention the unsurprising success of our publication now on its 6th issue. I am very proud to be leading the charge in the UK when it comes to manufacturing marketing and satisfying not only OEM’s but SME manufacturing businesses alike.”

“We now have a team of 20 employees building websites for engineers, delivering marketing plans for CNC machining and OEM’s alike and in a lot of cases managing their entire marketing process. This is an area set to grow as there are no marketing businesses and services in the UK that can match our industry knowledge and understanding of the products, brands and businesses we work with.”

“So often we hear that engineers and small business owners just want dedicated engineers that understand their products and services to guide them through all the promotional aspects of their businesses. With MTD, at last there is a dedicated engineering agency. With our channel growth, a move into a new building and studio, our shift up a gear in what we offer collectively to all areas of industry – our growth has accelerated rapidly. This has been supported by the new MTD Magazine that has delivered insightful and educational content that delves far deeper into the technological advances of industry with lengthy technical content and rich imagery and links to online video content. This once again demonstrates how MTD is an innovator and the benchmark in delivering manufacturing media in every conceivable platform available.”

One other area of growth for MTD is its venture into events, having now completed several hugely successful events, including the hosting of the Incomm Training Awards and SODICK’s Grand Opening to name a few, this is another market segment that MTD is exploiting with huge success.

“I must admit I am looking forward to a holiday before starting the last 5 months of the year with renewed vigour. September will see the whole MTD team at the EMO exhibition, October sees the team filming at ETG, Matsuura, ISCAR, FANUC, DMG MORI, Star GB, Quickgrind and many others. Some of these events and visits will be shot and streamed live! November will see some of the team heading to the Far East and December concludes the year with events from Hurco and Mazak to mention a couple.”

In September, MTD will also launch a brand new MTDCNC website. This will be yet another landmark and a huge digital shift, marking a new chapter in our progression – but you’ll have to keep coming back to check it out and see where the MTD team will take UK manufacturing next….
