Sheffield-based Ward Hi-Tech Limited, a prominent player in the UK’s machine tool industry, recently marked the end of 2023 on a high note, achieving successful closures on several significant projects. The company secured orders for a range of substantial frame machine tools, establishing collaborations with esteemed overseas principals such as Hwacheon and Dah Lih.
Among the notable transactions, Ward Hi-Tech Limited facilitated the sale of two Hwacheon Hi-Tech 850LYMC heavy-duty turning centers, boasting an impressive 3.5 meters between centers, equipped with 32-inch chucks featuring Y-axis capabilities. These machines found a new home with a major sub-contract company located in the North of England. Simultaneously, a Midlands-based manufacturer placed an order for a CNC lathe with a substantial 5 meters between centers and a swing capacity of 1,800mm from S.F.M.
As the year drew to a close, Ward Hi-Tech Limited finalized deals on two double column Dah Lih machining centers, each with an expansive 4 meters X-axis, securing placements in the North West. Additionally, a local manufacturer seized the opportunity to enhance their operations with the acquisition of a Kiheung U1200N CNC universal bedmill, featuring an impressive 3 meters X-axis travel.
With these significant projects reaching fruition and a promising pipeline ahead, Ward Hi-Tech is gearing up for a robust start to the year 2024. The successful conclusion of these ventures not only underscores the company’s commitment to excellence but also solidifies its position as a key player in the dynamic landscape of machine tool distribution in the UK.
