ZCC Cutting Tools present Sliding head tools at AMB

At the AMB 2018 exhibition in Stuttgart, ZCC cutting tools introduced a host of new technologies and some of these new product lines are targeted at the sliding head turning market.

The first of the new lines at AMB was the micro-bore system for small diameter grooving and back-turning operations. The program has grown considerably and ZCC now offers a new high-performance coating that caters for everything from stainless steels through to super-alloys. The new line has a location pin that demonstrates exceptional repeatability. Alongside this line is also a new sliding head lathe tool holder that offers two different coolant supply options that include side and rear application that deliver fluid to the cutting edge.

Further turning innovations include the SC line and DCG series that are for grooving and deep-grooving respectively. Offered with a diverse line of insert types, the new grooving line also permits a variety of coolant delivery methods. The toolholders start at 16mm for sliding head machines and vary up to 25mm for conventional and larger turning centres.
